Still Space for Teams- Tartan Turkey Golf Tournament
The annual golf tournament will take place at Turkey Creek Golf Course on Saturday, June 13th with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.
“Golf packages for the 4 person scramble include a choice of play – non-competitive and competitive as well as 18 rounds of golf, breakfast, lunch, driving & putting hole contests, individual golfer gifts, Hole In One Contest. The winning team will walk away with the tournament traveling trophy the “Chamber Cup” to display for a year with engraved recognition on the trophy.” said Jennifer Burch, Executive Director.
Registration is required by calling the Chamber at 241-3303 or stopping by the Chamber office at 306 N. Main.
“A huge thanks to the hard work of the Tartan Turkey Golf Tournament Committee, the staff and the great support of our members, this is the only fundraising event that helps the operations of the Chamber organization,” she said.
Burch added that the Chamber budget is not supported by tax dollars.
“There is often a misperception that the Chamber is a department of the city, county or state,” explained Burch. “We are not. The Chamber is an association that is solely supported by the members. The Tartan Turkey Golf Tournament is a way to bring members together in a fun setting, and at the same time add to the revenues required to address member driven initiatives.”
