Member Spotlight- GraceMed Health Clinic
GraceMed Health Clinic is fulfilling a much-needed service in the McPherson community and the Chamber Connections crowd learned from clinic director Deb Clark, how their journey began. Clark is very passionate about GraceMed and gave a standing invitation to provide a personal tour and tell you their story. “A new medical facility in downtown McPherson is providing much needed services to low-income residents. GraceMed McPherson Family Clinic opened on May 15 and offers primary health and dental care. The clinic accepts all forms of insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid. Services are also available for qualified, uninsured patients using a sliding scale to determine fees based on household income.
GraceMed McPherson Family Clinic evolved from concerns expressed by Circles of McPherson County, a local non-profit organization that identified lack of access to affordable healthcare as a barrier to their client’s ability to escape poverty. Community volunteers spearheaded by Mayor Tom Brown formed a committee to address the concern and were successful in securing a partnership with GraceMed, which oversees 12 clinics in Wichita and two in Topeka. GraceMed is dedicated to serving Kansas wherever there is a need for greater access to affordable, holistic healthcare.
GraceMed McPherson Family Clinic, located at 322 N. Main, is 5,500 square feet with six medical exam rooms and four dental operatories. Staff members include medical provider Jennifer Stuart, APRN, and dentist Connie Andrews, DDS. Back-to-school requirements such as athletic physicals and immunizations provide an opportunity to check out McPherson’s newest clinic. To schedule an appointment, call 620-504-6187. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.”
