What is the McPherson Chamber of Commerce?
For some people, we are the information center for the community and its opportunities. We are also an organization that unites businesses, professionals and community civic minded individuals in an effort to expand the economy of the area. The Chamber is a 501C 6: A nonprofit member driven organization of 360 businesses, organizations, professionals, and individuals representing over 12,000 active employees.

How is the McPherson Chamber of Commerce financed?
The Chamber is funded by voluntary member investments based on a fee schedule. Investments are tax-deductible and recognized by the IRS as a legitimate business expense, not as a charitable contribution. It is also supported by our annual fundraising event, the Chamber Classic Golf Tournament.
Who are the Chamber Board of Directors?

- is the vehicle that brings people and resources together to accomplish what no one business could do alone.

- offers programs, educational classes, and seminars, aimed at helping members grow and develop personally
and professionally.
- continually works to recruit businesses as well as support expansion and retention.
- provides gap financing for business start-ups and expansions through the McPherson County Entrepreneurship Loan Program.
Community Impact

- investing in our youth by raising scholarship funds to support the AFA scholarship and transformational leaders in agriculture, and by organizing the Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge to encourage students to dream big and consider McPherson when starting their business venture.
- partners with other entities to promote Manufacturing Month, the McPherson County Housing Conference, holiday promotions and events, and welcome college students to McPherson.
- contributes to community development by serving on numerous community boards, and committees such as the LEPC and Childcare Taskforce, dedicated to the betterment of the McPherson community.
