Member Spotlight – FILI Creative
FILI Creative, a full-service video production company based at 123 Indiana Ave. in Salina, continues to make its mark across Kansas by crafting high-quality visual storytelling for businesses and nonprofits alike. The FILI Creative team handles everything from documentaries and recruitment videos to manufacturing, agricultural, health care, commercial, and tourism projects. Business Development Manager Sydney Collins explained, “A little bit more about what we do, we have a team of nine right now. So, we have a production side, and we have an admin side and a podcast side. Our team is amazing.”
CEO Gus Applequist emphasizes their role in simplifying complex messages for clients, saying, “What we do best is helping people with stories they find too complex,” and added “We like to come in and listen to you and what you’re dealing with. We like to try to help you solve those problems through video.”
FILI Creative’s mission—to fight for the good in the world by telling stories that matter—is at the heart of every project they take on. Applequist shared the deeper motivation behind FILI’s beginnings: “I really wanted to work in an environment where I felt fulfilled and I felt like I was able to express my creativity… every good organization is built on something greater than just trying to make money.” That mission also fuels their wide range of production capabilities. As Collins noted, “We do anything from construction to recruiting. We do non-profit work. We do campaign videos. We do anything you can put on a video; we can do. We have an amazing team that does all of the planning, production, editing, and then we also have partners if you need help getting it out to the world so it can be utilized.”
