I bet you didn’t know that The Cedars has lease and rent options available. Me neither. During the Chamber Connections hosted by The Cedars, Lamonte Rothrock explained several different housing options and fee structures within their campus. Rothrock, vice president of sales and marketing for The Cedars showcased a 1250 sq. ft independent living duplex with two bedrooms, two baths, and a large two car garage. On The Cedars campus there are 114 independent living duplexes, triplexes and fourplexes ranging in size from 850 to 1400 sq. ft. that are available for seniors over the age of 60. Residence enjoy an independent lifestyle and are often very much on-the-go with no worries about home and yard maintenance. Another neat-to-know fact about the independent units is that the interior structures (including walls) can be customized to some extent. Contact Rothrock at 620-241-0919 for a tour or for more details about life lease plans or rentals.

For residents who can still maintain daily living essentials but possibly need assistance with medications or other services, the courts at The Cedars would be a great option. The courts consist of 50 assisted living apartments that are built around the “neighborhood” concept with common areas for each 8 apartments. The assisted living option also includes three meals a day in the dining room, and special activities and programs to stay engaged with neighbors. For seniors who require additional care, The Cedars health care facility has 90 rooms plus 12 special memory care rooms. Compassionate caregivers at The Cedars follow the person-centered care approach and receive specific training if they will be working with dementia & memory loss residents.

The Cedars has retirement living options for all levels of independence. Not only offering a comfortable place to call home but engaging the residents with opportunities to remain socially active, programs to stimulate learning and conversations and campus amenities for physical activity too. Staying active is the new norm so The Cedars has a fitness center, therapy pool, walking paths and offers hundreds of recreational and social activities to appeal to every interest.
