Member Spotlight – McPherson Psychological Associates
Dr. Kathie Ward (left) is a clinical psychologist from your neighbor to the south, Oklahoma! Her daughter Kellory, moved to McPherson and has been part of the community for many years. Dr. Kathie Ward began the idea of starting a new clinic, it was obvious to her and her daughter to start a clinic in McPherson. So, before the doors at McPherson Psychological Associates were even opened, they were already part of the McPherson community. Which was evident by the many people who joined the ribbon cutting in their support of this new service in town.
The McPherson office will offer a wide range of counseling services for those ages 3 and up. Their office will serve the community in and around central Kansas with the expertise and unique brand of warm, hometown expertise in mental health care. Among other psychological services, they will be offering play therapy. They are trained in and believe that play is the work of the child. Toys are children’s words and play is their language.
