During a recent Chamber Connections event, Jason Hoover shared how Midway Motors has evolved from a small family business into a regional automotive leader. Hoover shared, “We did a lot of remodeling over the years. New Ford showroom. New Chevy showroom next door. So, we’re finally past all that and ready to show things off a little bit.” He spoke of the business’s roots, starting in the mid-1980s when his father and Gabe Goering’s grandfather purchased the original store.
Hoover said, “We come back and fast forward, after our little individual careers he [Jason’s dad] said, ‘I’m selling the store or you guys are going to start buying.’ So, we started buying the store.” With continued expansion—including their first import dealership in Salina—Hoover emphasized, “It’s been a really nice road. We’ve got fantastic people who make this all possible.”
