Member Spotlight – Save ‘N Share

In 1968, a number of churches in McPherson County formed ‘Churches United in Ministry’. Working together, they are able to meet many needs in the community, caring for people in emergency situations when needs exceed personal resources.

Over the years, Churches United in Ministry opened a store front to provide clothing for those in need. They moved to several different places throughout the years. In 2012, the current store front at 209 S. Main St. opened.

Save ‘N Share sells clean gently used clothing in sizes from baby to adult. They also sell shoes, toys, books, luggage, small appliances, and a large variety of household items.

All items for sale have been donated by the community. All profits from the sale of items are used by Churches United in Ministry for assistance projects in McPherson County. Save ‘N Share is open to anyone and everyone.

Save ‘N Share has roughly 120 volunteers throughout the year. Volunteering together provides many opportunities for fellowship, friendship, and purpose as we work together for the benefit of others. Volunteers help with receiving, sorting, testing, tagging, cleaning, pricing, stocking, operating register, greeting, and more!

Store hours are Tuesday thru Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Volunteer workday is Monday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Save ‘N Share is a thrift store for thrifty people, so stop by today at 209 S. Main. If you would like to volunteer, stop by during the volunteer workday or call (620) 241-7389. View photos from the Chamber Connections here.
