Will he make it? It will be FINE they said… just swim 200 meters, bicycle 7 miles, then simply run 2 miles to the finish line! After being challenged, Stuart Dille, United Way of McPherson County director has agreed to attempt the triathlon on Saturday, August 19th. If you want to join him for the 10th annual McPherson County United Way Triathlon, register online at www.unitedwaymcpherson.org or download the 2017 United Way Triathlon Registration Form. If you would rather “share” the course with co-workers, friends or family, relay team registrations are also available. For the youngsters ages 5-15, there is a junior triathlon. It’s new this year and consists of a 100 meter swim, 3.5 mile bike ride and .75 mile run. The triathlon is a great way to promote health, have fun and contribute to a great cause, the United Way of McPherson County. Dille recognized Tyler Glidden and Beth Keeley (YMCA & MRC) and appreciates their efforts on the triathlon committee.

Ok, you are not ready to compete but would love to help; volunteers are always needed for the triathlon, community impact projects and committees. Contact Stuart Dille at 620-241-5152, or stop by 306 N. Main to see how you can get involved. “Working together amplifies the power of the individual by allowing ALL to be part of something greater.
