Outstanding McPherson Eighth Grade Award (OMEGA) Presentation May 8th
Join us for the 2013 OMEGA presentation to recognize 7 Outstanding McPherson Eighth Grade Award winners during the May Fete activities, Wednesday, May 8th at Lakeside park beginning at 7 p.m. The OMEGA award was created by the McPherson Chamber of Commerce as a way to recognize eighth graders who demonstrate leadership, service, courage and compassion to benefit others. It’s a great opportunity to let them know someone has noticed and appreciates’ their positive actions.
The students we are honoring with the 2013 OMEGA are: Madilynn Allen of Elyria; Abigail Bernhardt and Tobias Belknap from Inman; Allison Jasso from Moundridge and the McPherson honorees are Ashley Gant, Morgan Howard and Thomas Smith.
These students may accomplish good grades or excel at sports but they shine because of their compassion for others, going above and beyond with volunteer efforts, being a leader for peers, for their positive attitude through life’s difficulties and for making a difference in our community. They shine because of who they are!
