10 Sep Member Spotlight- United Way of McPherson County 2018
The McPherson community is rich with volunteerism, people of all ages willing to get involved, helping to make a difference, make an impact in the lives of many. That attitude and passion is also the heart and sole of United Way of McPherson County. From the Executive Director Rob Mackey, to the United Way board, volunteers and donors, they foster community connections to make positive lasting change. Check out the 2018 campaign video featuring board members and their message and focus “We are the problem-solvers, the hand-raisers, the game-changers. We fight for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every community.”
During the Chamber Connections, Campaign Chair Kipp Cordell recognized the late June Anderson for her lifetime of dedicated volunteerism. A touching video created in 2016 to honor Anderson can be viewed on the United Way of McPherson Co. Facebook page at this link. Cordell also presented awards for the 2017 campaign, including “Small But Mighty” to The Cedars for doing a lot with a small employee base, “Mega Match” to CHS for the largest employer match, “Inspired Giving” to McPherson Family YMCA for their creative employee campaign and “Rising Impact” to Farmers Alliance for the largest donation growth (doubling last year’s giving)! Contact Rob Mackey at 241-5152 or email@example.com to learn more about employee campaigns and the United Way story.
United Way of McPherson County is looking forward to another successful campaign. Their 2018 theme is “United We Fight. United We Win” and their goal of $250,00 is to meet the needs of the community. Even though United Way “measures their success in actual lives changed” donation dollars are needed to help fund the 15 partner agencies and 19 programs that are Rebuilding Lives, Providing Basic Needs, Preparing for Life and Building Self-Reliance.
