Bello Capelli Salon and Boutique continues to expand its commitment to beauty, wellness, and self-care with the addition of a new O₂ Box Mac, bringing mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy to McPherson. Located at 115 N. Main Street in downtown McPherson, the salon has served the community since 1999 under the ownership of Deb Luttig. “Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to serve so many amazing clients and build lasting relationships within the McPherson community,” Luttig said. “We love helping people feel good about themselves and providing a welcoming environment for everyone who walks through the doors.” While many residents know Bello Capelli for its hair services, the business also offers nail care, skin treatments, esthetic services, boutique shopping, and a growing selection of wellness services.\
The newest addition is the O₂ Box Experience, a mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy service designed to support overall wellness, recovery, and performance. The system uses a gently pressurized chamber to help the body absorb more oxygen than it normally would at standard atmospheric pressure. Amy Kraft of O₂ Box Midwest said, “We find that chiropractors, wellness centers, that sort of thing really fit well with the O₂ Box. Hyperbaric is a wellness therapy. We like to say it cures nothing, but it helps everything.” The two-person chamber offers 60-minute sessions during which clients can relax, read, listen to music or podcasts, or use their phones and tablets. According to Kraft, consistency is key to maximizing the benefits. “You’re not going to get fit after one time, right? It’s something you need to be consistent about,” she said. “Just do a consistent basis once or twice a week – just like working out, but yet you’re probably going to see better results from your workout if you do this too.”
Luttig said the response from clients has been very positive since introducing the O₂ Box. Users have reported increased energy levels, and better sleep. Other benefits can include improved mental clarity, reduced joint and chronic pain, and enhanced endurance. The therapy has also become popular among individuals recovering from surgery, illness, or fatigue, as well as athletes looking to improve recovery and stamina.
