Member Spotlight – McPherson Water Park
The McPherson Water Park is operated by the City of McPherson and the McPherson Recreation Commission. The McPherson Water Park has fun for all ages. You can swim in the 8-lane 50-meter pool, or float down the lazy river. Young kids can enjoy the splash pad, and everyone can enjoy relaxing in the many shaded areas throughout the Water Park.
The McPherson Water Park has many options when it comes to swimming, programs, events, and rentals. Open swim times are Sunday – Thursday and Saturday: 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and Friday: 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Lap swim and water walking hours: Monday – Friday: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm, and Monday – Thursday: 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Water exercise hours: June 6 – August 11, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 7:15 pm – 8:00 pm.
The McPherson Water Park hosts Jr. Lifeguard Program for kids ages 13 and 14. Students are taught basic First Aid, CPR, and Rescue Techniques along with pre-lifeguard skills. The McPherson Water Park provides swim lessons throughout the summer for ages 6-14 years old. You can host your party at the McPherson Water Park by renting out the party shelter during open swim hours or renting the whole pool out after swim hours.
