Member Spotlight- Stay Your Way

Stay Your Way is a proactive membership program for healthy, independent adults who want to safely and successfully stay at home for life. Designed for adults 55 and older, the program offers a unique approach to aging in place, allowing members to plan ahead while maintaining independence. “We are the only CCaH (Continuing Care at Home) program in the State of Kansas,” Executive Director Kevin Putman noted, emphasizing the program’s distinct role in providing long-term support without requiring relocation to a traditional senior living community.

At the core of Stay Your Way is a personalized, relationship-driven model of care. Putman described how each member is paired with a dedicated Wellness Navigator: “We’re designed to provide you a Wellness Navigator. That person gets to know you and helps you through your aging and makes sure that you stay at home.” He added confidently, “You will never have the need for senior living, period. Because we’ll be coordinating, collaborating that care with your Wellness Navigator.”

In addition to the Wellness Navigators supporting this effort, Stay Your Way has a professional care team that includes nurses and a doctor, ensuring members have access to both preventative services and coordinated care when needed. Their new Concierge Service helps organize non-medical home services, such as home repairs, house cleaning, meal delivery, laundry, lawn care, transportation, and more.

According to Sarah Nowlan, Sales & Marketing Director at Stay You Way, the program’s proactive philosophy is what sets it apart. “Members join when they’re independent, and then our job is to keep them strong and healthy and independent as long as possible by being proactive,” she said. Even before care is needed, members build meaningful connections through regular visits and activities with their Wellness Navigators. “We’re not just looking at their health,” Nowlan explained. “We’re also considering their social, emotional, mental and…spiritual needs as well.” When additional support becomes necessary, Stay Your Way coordinates services ranging up to 24-hour in-home care—allowing members to remain comfortably and confidently in their own homes for life.
