Member Spotlight – The Stone Chimney
The Stone Chimney opened in 2005 when Owner Toni Bandy thought the building on the property she and her husband had purchased (which used to be a nursery) would be a good place to start a “little venture.” Her plans were to be open a few hours a day, something part-time. That small venture started growing and believe it or not, The Stone Chimney is celebrating their 15th Christmas! Office Manager Jana Bandy, said “We’re excited to be here and going strong!”
The Stone Chimney offers, among other things, custom floral designs which Jana describes as “beautifully designed.” She said everything – like the wreaths, garlands, and all the arrangements – are custom made in the store by skilled designers making each arrangement unique. If you have a vase or a piece of pottery that you’d like to have an arrangement in, the very talented designers at The Stone Chimney can help you make it exactly what you want. The team at The Stone Chimney includes the three designers: Judy Anderson, Lori Koehn, and Ron Smith along with Frances Grant, Owner Toni Bandy and Office Manager Jana Bandy.
Along with their custom floral designs, The Stone Chimney also has an entire room in the store devoted to candles, diffusers, and candle accessories. Jana said, “If you need candles, this is a really good place to come. We have just about any scent you are looking for.” The Stone Chimney also has all kinds of unique home decor pieces, jewelry, bath & body products, and unique gift items.
On the counter at The Stone Chimney you will find a guest book that provides a very important service. For those who sign it, they will receive invitations in the mail to alert them of the three special Open House events that The Stone Chimney has throughout the year. Each year The Stone Chimney hosts a Spring, Fall, and Christmas Open House. And with each Open House comes discounts, homemade treats, and a great opportunity to discover what’s new.
