Member Spotlight – Viega
In 1899 Franz-Anselm Viegener founded what we know today in McPherson, KS, as Viega LLC. The name Viega originated from the family name. To this day, the company is still family owned, private, and is led by the Viegner’s. McPherson is the only U.S. manufacturing location for Viega.
Viega was founded by Mr. Viegener in 1899 be making beer taps. A couple of years later, the company transitioned into making plumbing fittings and has been ever since. Viega’s world headquarters is located in Attendorn, Germany. They are a worldwide company with offices and sales that span the globe.
Viega has many open job positions and they also have a very attractive apprentice program for seniors coming out of high school. This program allows them to work and continue their education if they wish.
