2022 Emerging Leader Awarded to Trenton Ruxlow
The McPherson Chamber was excited to introduce a new award to recognize a local emerging leader. The criteria indicated that the individual must be a current member of the McPherson Chamber of Commerce and have been with their current company for a minimum of one year, be an up-and-coming business and community leader…a rising star who is inspiring others! The individual whose professional success is matched by their commitment to serving our community, and the individual demonstrates excellence, creativity, and initiative in their business or profession.
Deciding on a single candidate was REALLY tough because we had so many terrific and deserving nominees, which is great in many aspects. Not only are there many impressive emerging leaders in our community, but it was great to know that others are noticing these rising stars and taking the time to nominate them. We look forward to recognizing many more Emerging Leaders in future years.
It was our privilege to present the 2022 Emerging Leader Award to Trenton Ruxlow during the McPherson Chamber of Commerce annual meeting on October 18th. Let us share a little about Trenton Ruxlow.
Trenton recently observed his fifth anniversary as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones. Having assumed responsibility for an existing office, he has continued to successfully meet the needs of established clients while welcoming a substantial number of new individuals through his business-building efforts. He is committed to serving a diverse clientele, with patient, personalized, and informed financial advice as a priority.
He has distinguished himself within the investment firm by serving as a Regional Recruitment Coordinator and was recently chosen for an elite Key Leadership Development Program. He is recognized by his peers as a positive influence and knowledgeable resource. All of this has occurred during a particularly challenging time due to the COVID Pandemic and subsequent fluctuating economic conditions.
Trenton is a graduate of McPherson HS, and McPherson College where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with emphasis in Finance, Marketing & Management. Trenton has been married to Marci Ruxlow for 8 years, is the son of Tom and Anna Ruxlow, has two brothers Vince and Quinn, and has an appreciation for the history, traditions, and challenges of the community.
During the last five years:
- He has served the McPherson Optimist Club in a primary leadership capacity for the annual MHS Women’s Basketball Tournament and as President of the organization.
- He is the immediate past Chairman of the McPherson All School’s Day 2022 Celebration.
- He is currently serving as the Chair of the McPherson County Community Foundation Board of Directors.
- He is an engaged member of the McPherson Chamber of Commerce.
Trenton is respectful of the opinions, achievements, and challenges of others and always has the best interest of the McPherson Community as a priority. Through his community involvement he has continued to display the desire and motivation to lead McPherson to a positive and secure future and the determination to address the diverse challenges along the way.
