Chamber Men Headed to Richmond, Virginia in September

The destination for the 2012 Chamber of Commerce Men’s Trip will be Richmond, Virginia. The men’s group will depart from the Chamber Office by bus to the Wichita airport early Wednesday morning, September 26, 2012 and arrive about 3 in Richmond. The group plans to stay at the Hilton Richmond Hotel and Spa. The travelers will be returning to McPherson about noon on Sunday, September 30.

The men will have a guided bus tour of Richmond before checking into the hotel on Wednesday.  That evening, there will be a casual banquet that is included in the price of the trip. The evening will provide an opportunity for networking with fellow businessmen. The 2012 McPherson Traveling Ambassador Award will be presented during this event.

Thursday and Friday activities are planned. The committee is planning for industrial tours on one day and a visit to historic Williamsburg on the other day. Saturday will be a free day with no group activities planned. The committee is still arranging and planning the visits so if you have a special contact or tour idea, contact a committee member as soon as possible. The committee includes Leonard Zeitlow, Larry Smith, Chuck Singleton, Chris Wallace, Steve Mulch, Mike Rausch, Marck Cobb, John Holthus, Tom Chandler, and Keith Janzen.

The total cost of the package is $895. A $500 deposit is required by July 26 to purchase the airline tickets and secure the hotel reservations. There is a limited number of seats on the plane available so call the Chamber and confirm your trip as soon as possible. The remaining balance of $395 is due August 20, 2012.
