Chamber of Commerce to Hold Groundbreaking Ceremony for McPherson Museum & Arts Foundation

The McPherson Chamber of Commerce will hold a Groundbreaking Ceremony for the McPherson Museum and Arts Foundation at the construction site of the new facility, 1111 E. Kansas Avenue on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

A blessing ceremony will be conducted by Father Laird MacGregor, St. Anne’s Episcopal Church; Reverend Harry Grinstad, New Gottland Lutheran Church; and Reverend Kathy Neufeld Dunn, First Mennonite Church.

Eric Litwiller, Ambassador for the McPherson Chamber of Commerce, will act as Master of Ceremonies. Chamber of Commerce 2011-2012 President, Greg McCullough, of Farmers Alliance Mutual Insurance Co., will offer congratulations to the Museum officials.

Mayor Tom Brown and City Commissioner Bob Moore will offer thoughts on the importance and meaning of the new facility.

Noted guests will include the contractor, Simpson & Associates; architect Joel Haag from Mann & Company; board and committee members; and some of the lead sponsors and affiliates of the project.
