Planning for Manufacturing Month
To recognize McPherson County’s industrial success and to inspire the next generation of manufacturers in our community, the McPherson Chamber of Commerce and the McPherson Industrial Development Company encourage our many manufacturers to participate in Manufacturing Month in October. The official date for National MFG Day, organized by the Manufacturing Institute, is October 6, but in McPherson County, we celebrate ALL MONTH.
It is manufacturing’s biggest annual opportunity to inspire the next generation, positively shift perceptions about the industry, and build the foundation for the manufacturing workforce of the future. This is the perfect time for future employees to learn more about modern manufacturing, particularly the many opportunities right here in McPherson County.
We encourage manufacturing employers to hold tours or open houses in October to help people understand what your business does. If you host an event, we will help you promote it to area schools, military bases and media outlets. Register online right away to host an event. The sooner employers are registered, the sooner we can begin promotions!
