The 2026 Holiday Promotion, “McPherson…Where Santa Shops!”, offers a variety of opportunities to showcase your business, attract shoppers, and be part of the festive spirit that makes our community special.

HOLIDAY PROMOTION OPPORTUNITIES
FULL MARKETING PACKAGE | $300
Maximize your holiday exposure with a comprehensive advertising campaign that promotes both community events and your business. Includes:
- TV commercials featuring Santa and your business from Thanksgiving through Christmas (three businesses per spot). TV Shoot Date: November 19. Businesses participating in the Full Package must be prepaid in order to be scheduled for filming.
- TV event advertising for Open House Weekend on KWCH stations throughout the region and state.
- KWCH digital advertising for Ladies Night Out.
- Inclusion in holiday marketing through social media, print, and/or radio promotions designed to drive shoppers to participating locations.
PARTIAL MARKETING PACKAGE | $150

Note: Businesses are welcome to participate in Holiday Open House Weekend and Ladies Night Out at no cost. However, to be included in advertising and promotional efforts on TV, radio, social media, print materials and event marketing, businesses must sign up for a Full or Partial Marketing Package.
HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE WEEKEND | NOV. 6TH AND 7TH
Kick off the holiday season with festive décor, refreshments, specials, and holiday promotions. Businesses set their own hours and invite shoppers to start their holiday gift buying.
LADIES NIGHT OUT | THURSDAY, NOV. 19TH FROM 5-8PM
Encourage customers to grab their girlfriends and enjoy a festive evening of holiday shopping, fun, and time together. Create a memorable experience with special sales, refreshments, prize drawings, and customer appreciation promotions that make your business a must-stop destination for the evening.
CANDY CANE CASH: | $50
Reward shoppers while encouraging them to spend locally. This community-wide shopping promotion features a $1,000 grand prize and $500 second prize in Candy Cane Cash, redeemable at participating businesses. The promotion runs November 1st through December 31 with marketing materials, supplies, and promotion provided to all participants. In previous years we have averaged nearly 8,000 entries from 69 communities generated approximately $400,000 in local spending!
FREE MOVIES | $50 MINIMUM SPONSORSHIP
Support a family-friendly holiday tradition while gaining visibility for your business. Sponsors receive logo recognition before each free holiday movie at the McPherson Opera House on December 5 and 12, helping offset licensing and facility costs while providing a fun community event.
COOKIES WITH SANTA | $75
Bring families into your business and create a memorable holiday experience for customers. We provide Santa, while participating businesses provide cookies, a chair for Santa, and an indoor location.
New for 2026: Because Cookies with Santa is one of our most popular promotions, we’re introducing a lottery system to provide fair opportunities for all interested businesses. Contact us between October 1 and October 9 to be entered into the Cookies with Santa lottery. Businesses will be drawn on October 12, and contacted in drawing order to select their preferred date and time. Call 620-241-3303 or 620-241-7430 to be included.
