Seeking OMEGA Nominations
The OMEGA Award was created by the McPherson Chamber in 2005 to recognize 8th grade students in McPherson County for making a difference in our community through their compassionate gestures, positive attitudes, considerate actions and courage to overcome life’s challenges.
“Goodness is about character, integrity, honesty, kindness, generosity, moral courage, and the like. More than anything else, it is about how we treat other people.” This quote by Dennis Prager perfectly illustrates the character of those we want to recognize with the Outstanding McPherson area Eighth Grade Award (OMEGA).
We want to hear about the 8th graders who are taking the initiative to make positive changes, volunteering their time and talents, whose attitude and kindness makes someone’s day a little brighter, or the student who is courageously overcoming personal challenges, yet using those experiences to help others.
