Trip Itinerary:
Friday – October 4, 2019
Depart McPherson this morning by motorcoach to Kansas City for our nonstop flight from there to Nashville, arriving mid-afternoon. Welcome to Nashville! Embark on a private, customized sightseeing tour of the city … concluding at the new Springhill Suites Downtown property in the SoBro neighborhood of Nashville. SoBro is south of Broadway and part of the downtown, with bustling restaurants, Nashville attractions, and trendy hotels. This evening enjoy dinner together as our first day draws to an end.

Saturday – October 5, 2019
From its very beginnings, Nashville grew from a foundation built on music. This morning visit Ryman Auditorium, known as the Mother Church of Country Music. Next stop is the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, learning about the history and sounds of country music. This afternoon is free for you to enjoy as you want. Maybe check out one of Nashville’s famous honky tonks, located on Broadway and offering free live music 365 days a year. Tonight we will attend a performance of the Grand Ole Opry, the show that made country music famous. The Opry is an American icon (since 1925) and as it happens, this is the weekend that they have their annual birthday bash … sure to be a treat!

Sunday – October 6, 2019
The morning begins with a private, customized tour to see more of this diverse city, followed by a visit to Cheekwood Estate & Gardens during their seasonal Cheekwood Harvest festival. After a chance to explore the historic Georgian estate of Nashville’s Cheek family and the beautiful gardens you can meet in the Beer Garden for a food truck lunch and live bluegrass music. This afternoon will find us in the small town of Franklin, just south of Nashville. Enjoy an afternoon on “America’s Favorite Main Street” in this quaint, historic town before returning to Nashville for an evening on your own.

Monday – October 7, 2019
Pack your bags and check out of the hotel, but before leaving the city we will join Walk Eat Nashville, recently named one of the top 15 food tours in America … offering a taste of the people, places and dishes making Nashville the new culinary capital of the South. Karen-Lee Ryan (founder and CEO) will host us on a private, customized tour … sure to be fun! This afternoon we return to Kansas City (again, a nonstop flight) and a motorcoach transfer back to McPherson.
